Barcelona and Sevilla drew 1-1 at the Camp Nou on the fifth day of the League in a very tactical and even game that was moved by goals from Coutinho and Luuk de Jong and in which there were few dangerous occasions.
Luuk de Jong put Sevilla ahead in the 8th minute by taking advantage of a loose ball inside the area, but Barcelona responded just two minutes later with a goal from Coutinho, who benefited from a poor rebound from Jesús Navas.
Between minute 60 and 70, Sevilla managed to lock Barcelona in their area and had different dangerous arrivals. The most outstanding were the ball to the crossbar that Ronald Araújo sent in 64 when he tried to clear a cross from En-Nesyri and a shot from the edge of Iván Rakitic that went wide.
Barcelona’s reply took place in the 81st minute with another shot from the edge of the area, in this case from Leo Messi, which Bounou rejected. At that time Sergiño Dest had already made his debut with the Barça shirt (min. 75) and had become the first American in history to play in an official match with the Catalan team.
Trincao had the last chance to tip the balance for Barcelona in the 90th minute, but Bounou cleared the heads-up.
