The output of Quique Setien from the FC Barcelona bench last summer ended in the worst possible way: in the courts. After the club has not yet paid the settlement of his former coach, the Cantabrian has chosen to claim that amount in court, but the Catalans will also question the coach’s capabilities.
As reported by El Larguero, Barça will claim that Setién did not keep promises what did he do in his presentation as the game, the style of the team and the use of the quarry. The club considers that the coach was not qualified for the position.
Thus, they claim to Setién that he took the team leader in LaLiga and did not win the title; what fell in quarter cup, something that had not happened for a decade, reaching eight of the last ten finals; and starring in the biggest defeat in club history in European competition, losing in the quarterfinals against Bayern.
Nor do they believe in his leadership skills that he fulfilled his role, something that also caused much criticism of his second, Éder Sarabia, who at times seemed to be the real manager of the team.
